Scholarships

Each year, the WSU Foundation awards hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships to Winona State students.

If you are a first year student who will be entering WSU in the Fall 2009 semester, please refer to the office of admissions for scholarship information.

For information on scholarships offerred by the Alumni Society, visit the alumni and friends website.

Many of the academic departments on campus award scholarships.  Check with your department to see if you can apply for additional scholarships.

Are you planning to complete a service-related internship?  Apply for a Penny Fellowship.

Foundation Scholarship Applications

WSU Foundation Scholarship recipients are selected by the WSU Foundation Scholarship Committee.  They are charged to seek excellence in qualities of mind and in character of person, and their goal is to make an investment in individuals.

The WSU Foundation Scholarship committee awards funding to candidates they can understand and relate to and who distinguish themselves from other candidates by their ability to communicate their special-ness.

Generous contributions from Winona State University Alumni, friends and corporations have made these scholarship opportunities available for you.

The application process has been closed for awards for the 2009-2010 academic year.
Please check back after January 1, 2010 to apply for scholarships for the 2010-2011 acadmic year.

  • Essay: Present yourself-position your skills and strengths
  • Pay attention to detail
  • Proof read - have someone else proof-read your application and essay
  • Be authentic-draw a portrait of yourself
